Eating Vegetarian and Vegan
August 19, 2026
You can see everything before it goes in
Whistler has plenty of restaurants that will do their best for a vegetarian or a vegan. Fewer that are built for it. Because you fill the bowl yourself there is no hidden stock, no dressing you have to ask three questions about and nothing that arrives at the table as a surprise. What you put in is what you get.
The plant side of the bar
Tofu, edamame, chickpeas and black beans sit on the bar alongside the vegetables: broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms, red cabbage, bean sprouts, water chestnuts and more. The rice and udon noodles have no egg in their ingredients; the chow mein and yaki soba noodles do. All of our sauces are vegetarian and most are vegan friendly, and every one is listed with its ingredients on our Allergy Guide. If you are not sure, ask rather than guess.
The grill is the part that matters
Ingredients are the easy half. Tell your server about any allergy or dietary need when you arrive. For allergies, our chefs can select your ingredients directly from our refrigerated storage rather than the shared food bar, then clean the cast-iron grill and use dedicated red cooking spatulas for your meal.

Twenty percent off the plant side
We take 20% off vegetarian and vegan meals. It started as a nudge to get people to try the plant half of the bar rather than defaulting to chicken, and it stuck. Plenty of people who came in for the discount now build the same bowl every time.

The one we cannot promise
Celiac disease is the one need we cannot cater for safely. All of our food is cooked on one large cast-iron grill, and gluten cannot be destroyed by heat, so we cannot guarantee a completely gluten-free meal for guests with celiac disease. If you have celiac disease, please speak with your server before making a meal.
